St Catherine’s is a nationwide resource providing both secure and open facilities for young people aged between 10 and 17. Our primary function is to offer protection to young people when they are in crisis and provide a supported pathway for the future.

We are currently recruiting for: Child Care Worker- Day & Night opportunities

Are you able to manage extremely challenging situations whilst maintaining high levels of empathy and understanding? Do you have the resilience, compassion and dedication to create a positive environment for children and young people within a secure residential setting?

As a Child Care Worker, you will be required to provide outstanding care to children and young people who can demonstrate abusive and aggressive behavior. You will have the ability to continually reach out to them, show patience, understanding and work with our dedicated teams for the best outcomes.

You will provide essential support to our young people by helping them gain the best outcome; you will support with education, health, independence and build their self-confidence. As a Child Care Worker, you must be enthusiastic and passionate about the care you provide and difference you strive to make and considerate of the struggles they face.
The successful candidate will have a Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People’s workforce or a willingness to work towards this, which will be funded via Nugent’s accredited assessment Centre.
