Take part in Strictly Nugent 2018!
Strictly Nugent moves to the iconic St George’s Hall!
We are excited to launch our third annual dance competition and gala fundraiser, Strictly Nugent 2018, which this year takes place in St George’s Hall on October 27th.
Recognising the success of the event that has raised over £90,000 in the last 2 years to help vulnerable children and families living with poverty, this 3rd year aims higher than ever to raise vital funds to support Nugent’s work with vulnerable children and adults.
Normandie Wragg, Nugent’s CEO said:
“Last year, from the minute the guests arrived to the announcements of the winners, Liverpool Town Hall was buzzing with excitement, the atmosphere was electric. This year St George’s Hall will make the night even more spectacular.”
We’re pleased to announce that one of last year’s Judges, Helen Jones from BBC Merseyside, has agreed to step up and host this year’s event.
We can also confirm that CEO of Caring Connections, Paul Growney is stepping out of his comfort zone in the name of charity and will be joining the dancers participating in Strictly Nugent 2018.
Paul says, “I’ve never danced sober in my life. I am ready to make a fool of myself for a good cause, but honestly I’m in it to win it!”
You too could be part of Strictly Nugent
If you’re a budding ballroom dancer, or never taken to the boards before, you could be the next Strictly Nugent Champion! You’ll work with a professional dancer, training for 6 weeks, and perform with them in the amazing Ballroom at St George’s hall.
This is an excellent opportunity to fulfil your Strictly dreams and help raise vital funds to support those living in poverty across Merseyside.
Last year’s winner Frances Malloy, CEO of Health at Work, said,
“It was so exciting to take part in Strictly Nugent, I was nervous, but my dance partner Ben was amazing, it was a huge challenge but for a great cause.”
Our short film from last year’s event really gives you a feel for the night:
